Add New Agents

To add new agent record give Menu Command Agent Record. A window will be displayed for Agent Record Entry. To add new agent Record press command button Add Record . The various data field of the agent record will become empty so that you can enter a new record and heading of this command button will be changed as Update Record .
The various details about the agent as name, code, address , transport mode commission rate etc. can be typed in the text boxes which are labeled accordingly. The commence from date for commission rate is also specified. Commission rate can be modified later on. These data fields or text boxes are bound to the Data Control linked to publication information database. As you will click one of the four buttons on the data control you will see the text displayed in the bound text boxes change accordingly.
When you filled in the agent's details you should specify the name of edition and number of copies to be dispatched to this agent. Press tab marked Dispatch details to fill in dispatch details. Fill in the code of the publication, its name , code of the edition, its name and other details, number of copies etc. Click another row in grid or move to another row by cursor. Pencil shaped icon which indicates that the record is being edited is changed to blank when the record is saved. You do not need to fill in the publication details. They will be set to the current publication when you save the record.
In the same way you must define the category for each agents and its default accounts by clicking the tab marked Agents Category Record .
Agents' Termination / or Restarting can be done by clicking the tab marked Agents Category Record .
To move from one text box / field to another use Tab and Shift Tab keys help you to move upward direction on the keyboard or use mouse.
When you have finished entering the record then press command button Update. A message will be displayed " Do You Want to Save The Current Record ?", press lquote Yes' to save the entered record or press No to abort. You can enter another record or do something else. To save your record automatically Tick check box Save All Changes Automatically.
To add another record again press command button Add and follow the above steps. To close customer record press command button Close.
