Standard Job costing is done to know the profit amount manufacturer receives on performing a job. To use Standard Job Costing module select Standard job Costing under the main menu Inventory Control . With this action a window for Standard Job costing will be displayed .
To select job is very easy. On the left hand side of the window, a list of jobs is displayed and you can select desired job by a double click on the job number. Once the job is selected, the information associated with that job is displayed under the text boxes of the five control tabs, namely :
Job which displays the order no., order date and you have to fill the delivery date,
Client which displays the information such as client's name and address.
Details which displays the information such as job description.
Pricing which displays the information such as job quantity, rate and total amount.
Job cost which displays the information such as the total cost of the job, job profit.
You can click these control tabs one by one to get the desired information.
Below these control tabs there are six text boxes with the values for the following fields : R/M cost, Dep in P/M, Electricity, Freight/Cart, other Exp, Labour cost. Among these R/M cost and Labour cost is calculated from the available data and thus is read only but the rest of the values can be filled up by placing the mouse on that field and after entering the value use tab to move to other field and this will cause difference in Total cost of job and hence in the Job Profit too.
On the bottom left List of the employees will be displayed, and the employees can be selected by a double click against its name, with this action the various information associated with the employee like Name of Worker, Normal Hrs, Hour rate, OT Hrs, OT Rate can be seen. This table provides the Labour cost for the particular table.
If the record of the employee is to be deleted then first select the record and click the button Delete , it will confirm your action and if you click Yes it will be deleted else you click No nothing will be deleted.
You can exit from this frame by clicking Labour Detail button, which is then replaced by a new button named Costing Details .
You can see a table with the following information details :
Cost Type, MI Note, Amount, Material Name, Material Qty, Remarks. This table provides the total Raw material cost for the job.
Again if you click on Costing Details, it will be replaced with a button named Raw Material Details and the table displays the information about Item Description, Issues, Quantity and Amount.
To exit from Raw Material Details again click on this button the button again will be replaced to Labour Details .
You can see all these reports in a full screen if report is too long by command button given with the print command button and by pressing another command button the screen will display in its original position .

To exit click the button Close on the Data Command Button Group.
