List of Products Product List, Inventory Control Module, Editing Product Record

Product List is the alphabetical list of the products in the product database. It displays Description, Stock position, Stock Value, unit cost price, sale price, Supplier Name, taxes etc. of the products.
First select the pattern according to the type of material, use the following options : click the check box Raw Materials if the type desired is raw materials, click the check box Finished Product if the type desired is finished product, click the check box Scrap if the type desired is scrap.
To list all products press option button List All . To prepare supplier wise list of products click option button Supplier Name , press command button Find , and select one of the supplier from the Supplier Selection List. Press command button OK. The list of the products belonging to that supplier will be displayed.
To prepare group wise list of products click Group List and select one of the group name from the drop down list of the groups and then click the option button Group . The list of the products belong to selected group will be displayed.
To prepare location wise list of products click Location List and select one of the locations where products are stored from the drop down list of the locations and then click the option button Location . The list of the products stored at that location will be displayed. To list all products press option button List All .
You can modify the In Stock position of any product listed in products list. To change the In Stock press command button Modify, a message will be displayed as "Modify the Opening Stock and then press UPDATE button to update the Closing Stock ". Press Ok to continue, change the opening stock and press Update . The stock position will be changed in all places. To see affect of modifications in product list select any option or List All . The Stock Value will be changed according to the stock.

Editing Records From Product List:
To edit any record shown in the product list first click the desired name in the product list or bring focus to the right name using the cursor and tab keys. When the product record you want to edit is in focus press Edit command button. The product record will be displayed in Product Record Form. You can edit this record and move to other records and edit or delete them as you desire. When you press Close command button the program will return to the product list. If you want to see the effect of editing in the product list immediately then press option button List All or choose appropriate option.
The above feature is useful when some selected records from the product list are to be edited.
Deleting Records From Product List:
To delete any record shown in the product list first click the desired name in the product list or bring focus to the right name using the cursor and tab keys. When the product record you want to delete is in focus press Delete command button. It will display message "Do you want to delete this product from record" followed with "product code and product name". If you press yes it will delete the highlighted record from Product list.
