Treatment Given to Patient

This menu command is used by doctor or his assistant to record day to day treatment given or investigation advised to a patient for one particular visit. Making entry in this module is optional. Once a patient is registered his Treatment Record can be created. To create a new record press command button marked New . The data fields will become empty so that you can enter a new record. Press command button Find located beside patient name. A window with the names of patients who are still not discharged will be opened. Select the name of any patient from this list, either double click the name or press command button marked OK .
Now you can fill in various details about this patient like diagnosis etc. You can also advise various test / diagnostic reports for this patient. To select a diagnostic report select it from one of three report name panels (Report Set I, II, III) and check the adjacent text box. When you check the box a small window will open. You can fill in more details of the test here. This information can be used by the diagnostic lab. staff. This information is used by diagnostic lab staff to find out which diagnostic reports are to be performed. On the right hand side of report name there is a blue box with a minus (-) sign on it for the selected reports. This indicates that though the diagnostic report has been advised bur it has not been carried out. When the report is filled in you will see a (+) sign here. By double clicking the + text you can display and view the diagnostic report. You can create a new set of these reports any number of times during the period while the patient is not discharged.

In this treatment record you can continue to make entries of the treatment details. Treatment details also include the diagnostic reports as advised above. You can fill in any number of treatment details records for any patient. If you need to create second or more such record press command button marked New ||. A new set of diagnostic reports can be advised and the entries like observation and medication advised can be made again within the same treatment record.
To simply explain it : For a newly registered patient first create a blank treatment record by using New command button. Fill in the first set of investigation advised, observations and medication. When you need to advise new investigation, make new observations or change medication after few hours or next day for the same patient then create another treatment details record by pressing the command button marked New ||. This will create another treatment details record for the patient within the same treatment record.
Press command button List to get a complete list of treatment records in the database. You can prepare this list based on Visit Date, Referring Doctor or the name of patient. For example you can list all the treatment records of all the visits of a patient by specifying his name. Click Listing / Editing Reports to see more details on listing and editing reports.
Press command button Delete to delete the current treatment record which is displayed. You can either scroll the records using Data Control or use the List command button to select the appropriate record before deleting it.
