Various departments of the hospital can be defined here. Once you have defined the departments you can select the department name while making OPD ticket or indoor patient admission. The day cash book displays the collection of each department. To add new department give Menu Command Consultation Departments. A window will be displayed for Record Entry. The various details about the department as name, room no. etc. can be typed in the text boxes which are labeled accordingly. These data fields or text boxes are bound to the Data Control linked to room information database. As you will click one of the four buttons on the data control you will see the text displayed in the bound text boxes change accordingly. To add new room press command button Add on the Data Command Button Group . The various data field of the room record will become empty so that you can enter a new record. A new unique Code will be selected and be displayed in the Code field. Code and name should be unique and it must be given. Now you can start typing the appropriate information in the text boxes. To move from one text box / field to another use Tab and Shift Tab keys help you to move upward direction on the keyboard or use mouse. When you have finished entering the record then press command button Add. A message will be displayed " Save Changes ?", press Yes to save the entered record or press No to abort. You can enter another record or do something else. To save your record automatically. Tick check box Save All Changes Automatically. To add another record again press command button Add and follow the above steps. To close room record press command button Close. To delete a department's record scroll through the data control to find record of the doctor's name to be deleted. You can also use of the Find Method to get the desired department's record displayed before you delete it. Also by clicking the record in the grid below, you can select the record. Once the record you want to delete is displayed then press command button Delete. You will get a message to confirm that you want to delete the record. Answer "yes" to delete the record. Be careful while deleting the records. Deleting record can not be undone. Department's Record could be searched through two criteria : Code and Name selecting one of the two option buttons named Code , Name. Specify one of these to search for a record in the text box given below Find Text . Press command button Find First to find first record matching the pattern. Press command button Find Next to find next record matching the pattern. Press command button Find Previous to find previous record matching the Pattern. Press command button Find Last to find last record matching the pattern. As you press these buttons the information displayed in text boxes bound to Room Data Control will change. If there are more than one record matching the pattern then you can scroll through all of them by using commands repeatedly Find Next or Find Previous after using Find First or Find Last for first time.
